NextGen Ri adds ChingMu motion capture systems to its UK and Ireland portfolio
NextGen Ri has partnered with ChingMu to offer the company’s motion capture systems across the UK and Ireland, expanding its portfolio for customers in robotics, education, biomechanics, TV, film, animation, gaming, virtual reality and research.
The range includes motion capture cameras, software and suits, backed by local sales guidance and after sales support from NextGen Ri.
Motion capture records real movement and turns it into digital data. In practical terms, it allows people to capture how a person or object moves, then use that data for animation, analysis, simulation and development.
While motion capture is widely used in film, television, gaming and animation, it also has growing value in robotics. For robotics developers, motion data can help teams study movement, improve control, train systems and support the development of more capable robots, including humanoids.
It also has strong applications in biomechanics, sports science, virtual reality and wider research and development.
By combining ChingMu’s motion capture systems with the highly dynamic Unitree quadruped robotic platforms supplied by NextGen Ri, the company can now offer UK and Irish customers an integrated technology stack with broad potential across robotics research, biomechanics, sports science, entertainment, industrial development and AI driven motion modelling.
James Brown, Managing Director of NextGen Ri, said:
“We are very excited to be working with ChingMu and to bring its motion capture systems to customers across the UK and Ireland. Their products are impressive, practical and well suited to the kind of work our customers are doing. Integrating motion capture with our Unitree platforms is a powerful proposition, and we see strong demand across our customer base.”
The addition of ChingMu’s technology gives customers in the UK and Ireland easier access to motion capture systems for a wide range of uses, supported by a partner that understands both the technical and commercial side of advanced technology projects.
This partnership further strengthens NextGen Ri’s expanding portfolio of robotics and automation solutions and reflects the company’s continued focus on bringing advanced technology to customers across research, industry and creative sectors.
